Vespers Beamline

Located at the Canadian Light Source (CLS) synchrotron facility, VESPERS is a hard x-ray microprobe capable of providing a high level of complementary structural and analytical information. The techniques of x-ray diffraction and x-ray fluorescence spectroscopy are employed to analyze a microscopic volume in the sample. Multi-bandpass and pink beam capability are built in to meet variable requirements.

Notice to Potential Users of VESPERS

The first call for proposals to general users of VESPERS has has been announced by the Canadian Light Source. Proposals for the use of micro beam X ray fluorescence and X ray absorption spectroscopy will be evaluated by the peer review panel for user time in the next cycle, beginning in March 2010. The deadline for the receipt of proposals by the CLS Users Office is September 16th, 2009.
